CHESHIRE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 24, 2026) – A 52-year-old man lost his life after a reported shooting at a residence off of the Allegan/Van Buren county line near South Haven on Wednesday night.
Authorities were called to the home, on Baseline Road west of 70th Street, shortly after 10 PM by a 44-year-old woman, who apparently was in the house at the time of the incident and escaped injury. A person was taken into custody and is awaiting a Friday arraignment at 57th District Court in Allegan.
The incident remains under investigation.
