KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – At least two tornadoes hit west Michigan overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
One was in Allegan County according to the county’s emergency manager, and the National Weather Service says the other was confirmed in southern Montcalm County.
The NWS will have crews around west Michigan to survey the damage and determine how many tornadoes actually hit during the storm.
A huge tree crashed down onto a home in Otsego, leaving a hole in the roof and caving the porch in.
Two large trees also fell in Plainwell, making 106th Avenue impassable Wednesday morning.
Consumers Energy says over 43,000 customers lost power from the storm.
