ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 14, 2026) – An effort to spotlight the beauty of Allegan County is underway.
The annual Allegan County Photo Contest began on Monday. During a two-week-long period, residents and visitors alike are encouraged to submit their images, taken at any time of the year, as long as it consists of a scene anywhere in the county. An online link for submissions is here.
Sponsored by the Allegan County Community Foundation, Amanda Chappell and other staffers will then post a gallery at the foundations website for the public to vote upon from April 29th through May 3rd.
Besides the public vote, there will also be a staff choice and a juried artists choice, with the three winners receiving a $50 gift card to a local business, as well as directing a $500 grant from the foundation to their favorite Allegan County nonprofit.
