BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says a member of its Road Patrol Division was taken into custody by the Battle Creek Police Department Wednesday following an investigation into an alleged domestic assault.
The Sheriff’s Office says the deputy has since been arraigned and charged with domestic violence.
At the time of the incident, the deputy, a probationary employee, had been participating in the Field Training Program for approximately eight weeks and had not yet been cleared for solo patrol. The deputy has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
