LANSING, MI — McLaren Greater Lansing, part of statewide McLaren Health Care, has named Dean Mazzoni, a health care executive with more than 20 years of senior leadership experience, as its President and Chief Executive Officer.
Following a national search, hospital and system leaders selected Mazzoni, whose considerable experience demonstrates his ability to advance clinical quality, operational performance, and patient experience, as well as his collaborative leadership style, according to a press release.
“Dean brings a proven ability to lead complex health care organizations while keeping patients, families, and care teams at the center of decision making,” said April Clobes, Chair of the McLaren Greater Lansing Board of Trustees. “With his experience championing his vision, we feel our hospital is well positioned for continued growth in our service to the Lansing community. We are very pleased to welcome Dean and his family to Michigan and to McLaren.”
Mazzoni joins McLaren after having spent the previous 10 years with Franciscan Alliance, a 12-hospital, multistate Midwest system. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of the system’s Michigan City (Indiana) Division, responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of an acute care hospital, 400-member medical staff, as well as multiple ambulatory clinics, freestanding emergency departments, surgery centers, cancer centers, and imaging centers, among others.
Kirk Ray served as president and CEO of McLaren Greater Lansing until 2025. He oversaw the construction of the new campus in Lansing.
