LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Students from kindergarten through 12th grade are being invited by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to take part in the State of the State Art Contest.
Students can submit artwork or writings about what they love about Michigan or the state’s future.
The deadline is 11:59 p.m. on February 15th.
Whitmer has posted more information about the contest online.

How about they are given the option to submit writing and art about the things that they do not love about Michigan and would like to see change? What true perspective can be gained when she pigeon-holes it into just the positive? Maybe, we encourage the truth and see what the youth feel about the future of Michigan? Isn’t she just fishing for accolades by doing it this way?
