KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and another will spend decades behind bars as well after being convicted in the shooting death of another Kalamazoo man in 2024.
Don’quay White received the mandatory life sentence Tuesday, while Deyonte Armstrong was sentenced to 40 to 65 years for the conviction, plus two years for felony firearm, for a minimum sentence of 42 years. The brothers were found guilty in dual trials in December.
30-year-old Charles Lee Weir was gunned down in broad daylight July 24, 2024 at the Fox Ridge Apartments in the 1300 block of Fox Ridge Drive.
