KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 26-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested and police say they have another suspect after members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement
Team and Crime Reduction Team executed multiple search warrants following an investigation into drug sales.
The locations of the search warrants were in the 6000 block of Abbey Street in Comstock Township and the 100 block of North 2nd Street in Oshtemo Township. All search warrants were the result of the same investigation.
The suspect of the investigation was located in the 7000 block of South Sprinkle Road in the City of Portage. He attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly apprehended.
Following his arrest, the search warrants were executed at both residences and resulted in the seizure of:
• 6 firearms, one of which had an obliterated serial number
• approximately 3 ounces of fentanyl
• over 260 fentanyl pills
• methamphetamine
• MDMA / ecstasy
• evidence of drug manufacturing and distribution
• large sum of US currency which is believed to be proceeds of drug sales
The man arrested had been recently released from prison in 2025 on weapon and drug related offenses. A second subject, a 24-year-old male, was not arrested, but could face
charges pending a review by the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office.
