GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Grand Rapids man is pleading guilty after he threatened to kill President Trump and Vice President Vance.
The man, identified as 42-year-old James Donald Vance Junior wrote the threats on the social media platform Bluesky April 1, 2025, stating that if Trump, Vance, or Elon Musk visited Grand Rapids again, they would leave in a body bag.
Vance added he would either be killed by a Secret Service sniper or spend the rest of his life in prison, saying “I’ve only got about 10 years left anyway.” Vance pled guilty this week to charges of threatening to kill the President and Vice President of the United States and interstate threatening communication. His sentencing is set for November.
