JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A teen was killed Friday afternoon after his dirt bikes was struck was a pick-up truck in Cass County’s Jefferson Township.
Just after 12:30 p.m. deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hospital Street and Mullen Road.
The investigation showed that a dirt bike being driven by the 15-year-old was heading south on Mullen Road. Police say the dirt bike failed to yield when crossing the intersection and was struck by a truck traveling east on Hospital Street.
The driver of the dirt bike was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
