LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan state House Speaker Matt Hall says he wants the K-12 schools fiscal year 2026 budget done by July 1.
MIRS News reports the Richland Township Republican says he is prepared to meet with Governor Whitmer, Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks, and the state Budget Office to make it work.
Hall is scheduled to be meeting with President Trump in Washington, DC Tuesday as part of a Michigan-specific check-in.
The House is not scheduled to be in session this week.
