LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan House of Representatives is being told by Judge Sima Patel to give the nine bills passed during the lame duck part of the 2023-2024 session to Governor Whitmer.
Patel, however, did not order the House leaders to do it. The judge said in the ruing that requiring them to deliver the bills is “a legislative function in which the Court will not interfere.”
Senate Democrats sued the Republican-controlled House for not turning over the nine bills.
