KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An arrest has been made by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team for a suspect’s alleged role in a shooting on Gull Road that happened in October 2024.
KVET arrested two 18-year-old men and two 17-year-old boys during a traffic stop on January 15 in the 700 block of Douglas Avenue.
No names have been released yet and the two 18-year-olds were arrested for outstanding warrants and felony charges. The two 17-year-olds will also face felony charges.
A search of the vehicle turned up two guns, including one with an extended magazine.
After the traffic stop, they served a search warrant at a home in the 1100 block of Forbes Street and recovered two more guns that were both modified with a “switch” to make them fully automatic. One had been reported stolen, and no arrests were made in that raid.
Public Safety Chief David Boysen says they are still searching for Dominique Motton for his alleged role in the Gull Road shooting.
