PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Portage will plant 400 trees in the next two years to replace what was lost in the EF-2 tornado that blasted the city in May.
Most of the trees will be planted at the historic Celery Flats park and others will be elsewhere in the city’s park system.
People can help plant trees at the city’s first “Leaf-A-Legacy” event that will be held October 27th.
