CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The National Weather Service issued two tornado warnings in southwest Michigan last evening.
The first was from 5:40 to 6 p.m. for parts of Branch County as a confirmed tornado was seen around ten miles south of Bronson, moving to the northeast at 20-miles-an-hour.
The second was for Cass County from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. as a severe thunderstorm moved through Cassopolis and Vandalia.
The storm had 60-mile-per-hour wind gusts and was capable of dropping penny-sized hail.
It was bad weather, no sirens.
