DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers start their final six-game homestand this afternoon against the Tampa Bay Rays and currently occupy the second wild card spot in the American League playoff race.
As a result, Ilitch Sports and Entertainment president and CEO Ryan Gustafson says tickets are going quickly for the games against the Rays and Chicago White Sox.
This is the first time since 2013 the Tigers have been in playoff contention this late in the season and they made the World Series in 2012 and 2006, losing to San Francisco and St. Louis those years.
Paul Padylasek bought his tickets for one of the last six games yesterday.
You can catch all the Tigers games on WKZO AM/FM.
Great for Detroit and Michigan
