OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A woman whose firearm went off accidentally in her purse at a Kalamazoo County store Sunday afternoon was injured, as well as another nearby customer.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says the firearm went off around 5:45 p.m. at the Costco at 5100 Century Avenue in Oshtemo Township. The gun owner was wounded in the hand while the other customer suffered an injury to her ankle. They say another customer fainted during the commotion.
The gun owner was transported to the hospital for treatment.
