RICHLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – 37-year-old Rita Williams of Richland has been sentenced to 24 months of probation and not have any contact with the Barry County Prosecutor’s Office.
She received her punishment this week after pleading no contest earlier this year to stalking and using a computer to commit a crime charges.
Williams sent hundreds of emails and voicemails using a robocall device to the prosecutors in response to her husband’s guilty plea in another case.
She was ordered to stop contacting them, but continued to do so on both the attorneys personal and work devices.
Williams has been warned that violating the no contact conditions of her sentence will result in her being sent to prison.
