KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The 11th annual Suicide Prevention Walk in downtown Kalamazoo’s Bronson Park is set for next Saturday, September 21.
Gryphon Place is putting on the walk, which will be a 5K and an alternate 1K route for people who can’t walk the five kilometers but still want to support the cause.
Sarah Mead is Gryphon Place’s director of marketing and advancement and joined Kalamazoo Mornings on WKZO with Ken Lanphear to discuss the event and their 9:30 a.m. panel discussion on suicide prevention.
100% percent of the money raised will support local programs and services offered by Gryphon Place.
The walk begins at 10 a.m. and registration can be done online at gryphon.org/spw or at Bronson Park starting at 8:30 a.m. on September 21. It costs $30 to take part.
