KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Secretary of State’s Office is brining a driver’s license restoration clinic to Kalamazoo on Friday.
The Road to Restoration clinic will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 120 Roberson Street in Kalamazoo.
Volunteer attorneys will be available to provide one-on-one consultation with attendees to check their current license status and answer questions on how they can safely return to driving.
There will also be Secretary of State services on site, including vision testing and the written driver’s exam.
Officials are urging people to register before the event as space for walk-ins will be limited.
Payment of $16 for their driving record is required, or someone can print their record from Michigan.gov/SOS the day before the clinic.
The appropriate documents of an ID, birth certificate, and proof of residency will be required if a person is eligible to get their license restored at the clinic.
The clinic will not provide DUI and OWI expungement services and someone getting their license reinstated is not guaranteed.
