KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 34-year-old man is jailed after the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team and Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant Friday in the 1100 block of Hotop Avenue.
Officers were investigating drug sales and found the suspect before the raid in the 1300 block of Portage Street and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.
The suspect discarded illegal drugs and resisted arrest but was taken into custody without officers being injured, and they found a loaded firearm in the vehicle.
At the home, they seized what they call distribution amounts of crack cocaine along with powder cocaine and a firearm. Money believed to be drug sale profits was also seized.
The suspect is facing multiple charges in the case and his name has not been released.
