BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Officials with the Calhoun County Public Health Department say they are keeping a close eye on COVID-19 cases.
Calhoun County, along with the rest of the US, saw a small spike in cases in August but total case counts were comparable to what was seen in August of 2023.
The health department is waiting to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, they are strongly urging residents to check their website at www.calhouncountymi.gov/departments/public_health_department for updates on availability and scheduling of vaccines.
Current recommendations include getting a vaccine, staying home if you’re sick from COVID-19 and other illnesses, and testing if you have symptoms or if you have been in close contact with a confirmed case.
