COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The renovated Comstock Middle School is finally complete after several years of work to turn it from North Elementary into the middle school.
Superintendent Jeffrey Thoenes led an open house at the school last evening, noting they installed a modern and advanced camera system at the school.
He says the school has the most camera coverage of any school in Kalamazoo County and there are weapons detection systems in the school thanks to a half-million-dollar grant received in July.
The classrooms have also been modernized, the heating and air conditioning system is new, and Thoenes says enrollment in the middle school has increased over the past five years.
