KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were called to two fires early this morning.
The first was at a vacant home in the 1700 block of Humphrey Street that was brought under control in about 15 minutes. Heavy smoke and fire were seen when officers arrived at 1:36 a.m.
Eight minutes later at 1:44 a.m., another house fire in the 1100 block of Sherwood Avenue was reported in another vacant home.
It took about 45 minutes to get that fire under control and heavy smoke and fire were also seen when officers arrived.
No one was hurt in either incident.
The Kalamazoo Public Safety Fire Marshall is investigating.
