KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Schools officials say they are looking forward to the start of the new school year on Monday.
The board of trustees met last night, hearing final reports and making final preparations.
Trustee Carol McGlinn quoted the superintendent, who used an Olympics reference to state his expectations for student achievement this year
Superintendent Dr. Darrin Slade says his staff is dedicated to helping students achieve.
A back-to-school bash is planned for Saturday in Ferrel Park on North Rose for anyone who may still need school supplies or any other assistance. There will be live music, food, and activities from 3 to 6 p.m.
