LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is launching a partnership with the U.S. Marshals Service and county prosecutors called Operation Survivor Justice.
She wants to bring people who are accused of sex offenses in Michigan back to the state for trial if they have fled.
Nessel says it will “make a significant difference” and touch the lives of victims.
The legislature gave her office a million-dollars to track and extradite fugitives.
Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting is part of the Operation Survivor Justice team.
