KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Rabid bats have been confirmed in six west Michigan counties since June.
They were first confirmed by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in Kent, Allegan, and Calhoun counties.
They have also been found since then in Berrien, Kalamazoo, and Ottawa counties.
There have been 23 rabies-positive bats found in the state this year.
