THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The National Weather Service is confirming St. Joseph County was hit by an EF-2 tornado Tuesday morning.
It touched down north of Lewis Lake and was on the ground for about eight miles until it dissipated on North Main Street in Three Rivers between 8 and 9 a.m., and had winds of 115-miles-an-hour.
The tornado was 700-yards wide and destroyed trees, power poles, and barn roofs.
No one was killed or injured in the storm.
