Olympics-Gymnastics-Italy’s D’Amato wins women’s balance beam gold medal

PARIS (Reuters) – Italy’s Alice D’Amato won the gold medal in the women’s gymnastics balance beam event at the Paris Olympics on Monday.

China’s Zhou Yaqin won the silver medal and Italy’s Manila Esposito took the bronze. American Simone Biles missed the podium, placing fifth.
