PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – As Kalamazoo County residents continue to navigate through detoured routes and around orange cones and barricades, the Air Zoo says it is offering a token of appreciation to those who have endured continual improvement work to Portage Road.
For this week only, Kalamazoo County residents get a $5 discount on each regular Air Zoo admission purchased. Just show proof of address when purchasing tickets. Admission includes all rides, flight simulators, movie showings, exhibits, hands-on stations, and galleries in both of the Air Zoo’s buildings.
The offer is valid through the close of business Sunday, August 4.
“We understand that Michigan summers bring irritating orange cones and road work,” said Nikki Statler, Air Zoo Director of Marketing & Development. “This summer’s construction seems particularly plentiful as crews work to fix and enhance our roadways. We thought an inspiring experience at the Air Zoo might be a welcomed distraction from the continued road work and high temperatures. We currently have accessible entrances from Milham and Portage Road and the Portage Road traffic seems to flow well throughout the day.”
The Air Zoo is a Smithsonian Affiliated aviation and science center with over 100 rare and historic aircraft, interactive exhibits, and flight-based indoor amusement rides.
