KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo College will restart men’s and women’s track and field for the 2025-2026 academic year.
This will be the first time the Hornets have competed in track and field since the early 1980s.
Cross country head coach Kyle Morrison will be the head coach for track and field and says it “feels like a huge accomplishment in itself” and adds it “is just the start of a very exciting time for Kalamazoo College cross country and track and field” along with the athletics department.
K College will rent Western Michigan University’s facilities for practices and meets will take place at other schools.
The college would rent WMU facilities or those of an area high school if they ever host an event.
Morrison says recruiting has begun for track and field athletes.
