KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A select group of young scientists from the Kalamazoo Math and Science Center has spent their summer studying the local environment, primarily water quality and biodiversity in the community, and will show off what they have learned today.
The 9th graders participated in several field trips to the Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Kalamazoo Nature Center and KVCC’s Food Hub and Innovation center to investigate, and lakes and streams to obtain samples.
They will present their findings at Linden Grove Middle School at 10:00 this morning.
The participating students are earning half a credit toward their high school diplomas.
