Whitmer officially endorses Harris for President, says she won’t be VP candidate

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – More Democrats are coming out in support of Vice President Harris’s presidential bid.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer joined Midwestern Democratic governors from Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin in endorsing Harris today. Whitmer said she’s “fired up” to back Harris and will serve as co-chair of her campaign. Michigan is viewed as a must-win state for Democrats.

Whitmer, meanwhile, told a local news outlet she won’t be leaving her role as governor even if offered to be Harris’s running mate.
