GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson are being sued by the Republican National Committee and former President Trump.
The two are accused of violating the National Voter Registration Act by designating federal offices of the Small Business Administration and Department of Veteran Affairs as voter registration sites.
In a statement, RNC chairman Michael Watley says “the federal government should not be using American taxpayers’ dollars to conduct unauthorized voter registration activities.” It was filed in federal court in west Michigan Monday.
