PARCHMENT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Parchment has launched a public survey for input and reaction to a Kalamazoo River Urban Wildlife Corridor Plan.
That aims to create a comprehensive strategy for enhancing the ecological, recreational, and cultural values of the Kalamazoo River Corridor.
Parchment is working with the Southwest Michigan Planning Commission on the plan.
Some of the top areas of focus are improving water quality; creating educational opportunities; restoring and protecting habitat; and increasing recreational and public access opportunities.
The survey is open through September 15. It can be found online at: www.surveymonkey.com/r/KzooWildlifeCorridor
