BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 36-year-old man is in custody, after being arrested by Battle Creek Police on multiple warrants, following a dog complaint on West Michigan Avenue Tuesday.
Battle Creek Police responded to a report of a loose, aggressive dog shortly before 8:00 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Michigan Avenue.
While attempting to locate the owner of the dog, officers observed a 36-year-old man enter a camper in the backyard of the home. The man was identified by officers on scene as having multiple warrants, including a felony drug warrant. Officers also received additional information that the man may be armed.
After initially attempting to call for the suspect to come out of the camper without success, the Battle Creek Emergency Team responded to the scene and made contact with the suspect inside of the camper.
The suspect was then arrested on multiple warrants, as well as two new charges of carrying a concealed weapon and felon in possession of ammunition.
