MARSHALL, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Michigan State Police at Marshall are urging area businesses to be alert if they get a large amount of cash and take extra steps to determine if the money is real due to counterfeit bills being passed over the last month in Calhoun County’s Tekonsha Township.
Troopers say the suspects have provided fake cash in stores and then have the money put on an online card.
A suspect has been described as a black female in her early to mid-20s. She has
been seen wearing a black sweatshirt and a yellow hair wrap.
The woman is believed to be part of a group working to pass these fake bills.
