PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Portage continues to get reports of problems caused by last month’s tornado.
Last night several residents from the Ashton Woods area off Centre Avenue said the twister turned a retention pond into a tangle of fallen trees and broken fencing.
They complained that they are having trouble finding the owner.
Council members and City Manager Pat McGinnis said they would look into it and report back to the homeowners.
They are asking the public for patience because this is the first time they have ever had to deal with this kind of disaster, and they are still working through it.
