KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – This is a busy weekend in Kalamazoo.
In Kalamazoo, things start with Art on the Mall from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday with displays by 60 plus local and regional artists showcasing original paintings, jewelry, pottery, sculptures, garden art, and art demonstrations on the mall in downtown Kalamazoo.
The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair runs Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Bronson Park.
Kalamazoo PRIDE starts Friday from 6 to 11:30 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 11:30 p.m. at Arcadia Creek Festival Place. It typically brings around 8,000 people to downtown.
The annual Do-Dah Parade starts Saturday at 11 a.m. downtown. This year’s theme is Kalama-SUESS: Children’s Stories Take to the Street!
The weekend caps off in Kalamazoo with a free concert featuring The Kalamazoo Concert Band in Bronson Park Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
