PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The organization Kalamazoo Together raised enough money to pay for around 40 tornado victims to be able to do their laundry for free yesterday at Finish Line Laundry.
Volunteer Kim Chandler says they are working to do it again in June.
Autumn Schlotterback lives in the Pavilion Estates mobile home park in Pavilion Township and has been at a hotel since the May 7 tornado damaged her home.
She says she was allowed to do four loads for free, which is one for everyone in her home, and says she was very thankful for the help.
