KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Safety is still investigating a hit-and-run death that happened just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.
The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Kalamazoo resident Leroy Lawson. He was on his bicycle on Mills Street near Oneil Street when he was hit.
Lawson died at the scene and his body was taken to Western Michigan University’s medical school for an autopsy.
No arrest has been made and police are still trying to identify the suspect and determine what kind of vehicle was being driven.
Police are asking anyone who was on Mills Street between Kings Highway and East Michigan Avenue around 10 that night to call them.
