MENDON, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find a home invasion suspect. Deputies were called to three homes late Sunday night and early Monday morning in Mendon for break-ins.
In the first, the homeowner returned home after being gone for a few hours in the 200 block of Fletcher Street around 9 p.m. to find someone had been inside the home.
Around 2 a.m. Monday, they were called to a home in the 200 block of East Main Street for a second break-in, with the homeowner scaring off the suspect.
About an hour and a half later, a homeowner in the 100 block of East Main Street found someone inside their home. The suspect is described as a white man, between 40 and 50 years old, about 5’8″ with a tattoo on his upper right arm. He ran off to the south.
A K-9 was called to that scene, but was unable to track the suspect. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on the suspect to call them at 269-467-9045 extension 330.
