GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Attorney and sexual abuse survivor Rachael Denhollander spoke at the YWCA’s third annual Arise! Spring Luncheon yesterday in support of the group’s work with sexual assault and domestic violence survivors.
Denhollander was the first person to go public with accusations that former Michigan State University and Team USA doctor Larry Nassar sexually assaulted her and the accusation led to him serving the rest of his life in prison.
She grew up in Kalamazoo and says the YWCA’s work is “absolutely critical” and she is happy to lend her voice to the work underway.
The YWCA in Grand Rapids has had a 32% increase in patients who are accessing their nurse examiner program.
