BERLIN (Reuters) – German Economy Minister Robert Habeck arrived in Kyiv on Thursday morning, saying his visit came at a time when Ukraine needed all the support it can get in its fight for freedom.
“Even in the third year of the brutal and unlawful Russian war of aggression, Germany stands firmly on Ukraine’s side,” he said upon arrival.
During the visit, Habeck will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and his government representatives as well as with the business community and civil society, and will then travel to Moldova, the economy ministry said in a statement.
