Whitmer predicts national abortion ban if Trump elected in November

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It appears abortion will be a top issue for voters in the upcoming presidential election.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer told NBC’s Meet The Press there’s a real possibility of a national abortion ban if Donald Trump is elected president. The Democrat said she believes the issue will motivate Americans to show up to the polls in November.

Her comments come as the former president recently said he would not sign a national abortion ban into law and it should be left up to states to decide abortion laws.
