LEROY TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A 37-year-old Battle Creek man has been arrested following the Thursday night armed robbery at the RK Party Store on SW Capital Ave in Leroy Township.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect arrived at the store, brandished a pistol and demanded cash from the register.
He then headed north in an older black Chevrolet Impala.
Deputies canvassed the scene, collected evidence, and investigated throughout the night.
All of the information collected eventually led to the suspect’s home.
The Sheriff’s Department says he co-operated with deputies before being arrested and lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on multiple felony counts.
Some of the money and the firearm used in the robbery were recovered.
The case remains under investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
No one was injured during the robbery or during the apprehension of the suspect.
