LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A new poll shows widespread support among Michigan Republicans for former congressman Mike Rogers in his bid to replace U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow.
Mitchell Research and Communication’s Steve Mitchell says it is an “unbelievable” jump for Rogers from 27-percent to 67-percent support since former President Donald Trump endorsed Rogers.
Mitchell says Trump has the “strongest hold of the party that I’ve ever seen, and that includes Ronald Reagan,” adding he worked for Reagan in 1984.
Former congressmen Peter Meijer and Justin Amash each have five-percent support in the poll.
