PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Portage City Manager Pat McGinnis is excited about the launch of Metro Transit’s new Metro Link rideshare service next month.
He says it is a pilot program that will cost a lot less than using Uber or Lyft for a ride.
People will be able to download an app and use it to hail a ride in Portage, Oshtemo Township and Comstock Township during the pilot.
The pilot program will run through the end of the year. A ride will cost someone $1.50 and connect them to a destination within the three districts, or the nearest bus transfer point.
