WAKESHMA TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two people were injured after being ejected from their vehicle after running off the road in Kalamazoo County’s Wakeshma Township Monday afternoon.
Around 3:15 p.m. Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 16000 block of East W Avenue for a reported personal injury crash. Witnesses indicated two subject had been ejected from a vehicle that was off the roadway.
Deputies assisted bystanders providing medical aid to the individuals before rescue and EMS arrived and took over.
The Sheriff’s Office says their preliminary investigation shows that the driver of the vehicle lost control, going off the roadway and overturning several times.
Both occupants were transported to local hospitals with critical injuries from the crash.
The Sheriff’s Office says the crash is still under investigation.
