Body pulled from Kalamazoo River Monday identified as Paw Paw man

KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The body of a man recovered from the Kalamazoo River Monday afternoon has now been identified.

Investigators say they are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of 42-year-old Ramon Rodriguez of Paw Paw.

The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department was dispatched around 1:15 p.m. Monday to the 600 block of Commerce Lane for a report of a suspicious object in the Kalamazoo River. On the scene, officers determined it was a man in the water.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Water Rescue and Recovery Unit assisted in the recovery of Rodriguez’s body.
